Inspired by Tom’s hit film, Bruce Almighty, Juice Almighty opened alongside (and inside!) Memphis Rox in the spring of 2018. The Juice Bar and café provides healthy eating options at reasonable prices, from fruit smoothies t0 sandwiches and salads, with no one turned away for an inability to pay. If guests cannot afford a meal, they “pay” by volunteering at the gym, assisting with neighborhood cleanups, or serving at another accredited non-profit. To date, Juice Almighty has served 48,000 “complimentary” meals to local youth, families, and guests, while teaching and exposing patrons to wholesome nutrition and healthy eating habits.
Lunch Program
When Memphis Rox was forced to close due to Covid-19, our in-house cafe, Juice Almighty, began to hand out free lunches to the community. These lunches focused on individuals and families with low to no income due to the impacts of Covid-19 as well as children who had been reliant on school for one to two meals a day prior to COVID-19 shuttering schools. Due to continued need, the lunch program continues today. By handing out lunches daily, we are able to provide those in the community with one consistent meal a day that they can rely on without worry. Since the pandemic began, we’ve handed out more than 33,000 meals.
