Everyone who enters the facility must complete a waiver. All waivers for minors must be completed by their parent or legal guardian. For faster service, please complete your waiver online prior to your first visit.
Climbing is one of the best communal and physical activities you can do. No matter your age, build or ability, it’s an accessible sport with numerous benefits. In an encouraging environment, you’ll enjoy a full-body, low-impact workout that improves strength, flexibility and endurance. Climbing also increases presence of mind, relieves stress, and builds confidence, cooperation and problem solving skills. The mental health benefits are reason alone to get on the wall.
This 45 minute class will teach you how to tie into the rope as a climber, top rope belay using a GriGri, use climbing commands and perform checks to minimize risk while climbing. After completing this course, you will be able to access the top rope area at Memphis Rox. Students must be at least 14 years of age to take the class.

When you arrive, here are some tips to get you on the walls right away!
Everyone Top Rope belaying must have their Memphis Rox belay certification card visible. To earn the certification card you must take the Top Rope class and pass the test with Memphis Rox. If you have been certified elsewhere, you must pass our Top Rope test to get a certification card.
Everyone Lead climbing and belaying must have their Memphis Rox Lead certification card visible. To earn the certification card you must either take the Lead rope test or the class with Memphis Rox.
The Rox Board is a system training wall meant to improve specific techniques. While at the same time providing a wall for anyone to create any sort of climb that will fit their climbing style using the @getstokt app. The wall sits at a 30 degree angle and has holds that are both bomber to dyno to and small enough to do some delicate movements off of. Come check it out before or after your climb to try something new.
